National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society recognizes outstanding middle school students. NJHS serves to honor students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. National Junior Honor Society students model these principles for their classmates and use their energies to affect the whole St. Therese community.
Students have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and enhance the school community. Students have the chance to run for office and represent their class and school. Student council helps to organize activities such as fundraisers, spirit weeks, and school dances.
Chi Alpha Mu
Chi Alpha Mu, standing for Creative Adventures in Mathematics, is the National Junior Mathematics Club for middle schools. Founded in 1967, the organization was reactivated by Mu Alpha Theta in 2008 to promote enjoyment and understanding of mathematics by middle school students. The St. Therese Chapter of Chi Alpha Mu meets regularly to hone their math skills and compete in competitions.
