Feast of St. Therese Mass and Reception
All alumni are invited to join us for a very special celebration of the Feast of St. Therese on Monday, October 2, 2017 8am Mass, with special guest Yi Wei, Class of 2002. Mass will be followed by a reception in the school’s new Innovations Room.
Join us for a truly special celebration as we welcome home Class of 2002 Graduate Yi Wei to honor St. Therese Little Flower, celebrate Yi's story and accomplishments, and share in a one-of-a-kind exchange between Yi and our students.
Raised by her grandfather in Chinatown, Yi played her violin with her grandfather on the streets of Chicago to raise money for her family while attending St. Therese. From these humble beginnings, Yi went on to graduate as Valedictorian of St. Ignatius College Prep, followed by Harvard University. With one of the most privileged educations money might buy, Yi chose a life of service as the director of several initiatives at the NGO known as iDE, working on sustainability, food security and access to water.
Yi's roots in faith, education, and service started with her time at St. Therese, and her homecoming is an opportunity for us to celebrate her successes and commitment to others.
Join us as we celebrate Yi's story with our students and staff.
- Reception with fellow Alumni and school and parish staff in the school's new Innovations Room!
